EPIPROTECT® is produced by S2Medical AB (publ) in Sweden. The company develops biosynthetic solutions for advanced wound healing and the management of burns, working closely with burn centres and wound clinics.
The portfolio has grown beyond dressings — wound bed preparation and odour management now sit alongside the biosynthetic skin substitute, under the same standard of care.
eiratex® was originally developed as part of a research project at Linköping University in Sweden. This innovation led to the creation of the spin-off company S2Medical, founded by the eiratex inventors Mårten Skog and Petter Sivlér. Today, the technology is fully owned by EPIPROTECT® AB, which is part of ABENA — a global leader in healthcare and industrial solutions since 1953.
EPIPROTECT® is manufactured in Sweden by S2Medical AB (publ). Production follows SFS 1993:584, LVFS 2003:11, MDD 93/42/EEC and harmonized standards such as ISO 13485. Each unit is delivered sterile in a glass vial with a preservative-free physiological saline solution, ready for immediate use.
